American Dream is the story of a Chinese immigrant attempting to achieve her dream of becoming a singer in Chinatown, New York City. Things do not go as planned as the image of her dream deteriorates into a harsh reality.

Alexia Oldini is a New York City based producer, writer, and director. Born and raised in Milan, Italy, Alexia was trained in classical music at the Giuseppe Verdi Milan Conservatory. In 2008 Alexia moved to New York City to pursue filmmaking. Her feature film debut "To Redemption" won the Best Screenplay Award at the 2012 Boston Film Festival. Her most recent project, short film "American Dream," won the Special Jury Award at the 28th New Orleans Film Festival in October, 2017 and is currently continuing its festival run.
