LAVOYGER

 El Tule ranch is a private playground for Texas oil barons and powerful politicians like the Bushes but the manager, Lavoyger Durham has discovered over 20 bodies of people avoiding a nearby border patrol checkpoint. Durham examines his heritage, social media habits and immigration over the course of a quail hunt.

Rachel Bardin is a filmmaker whose work centers around human ecology. She grew up in a small Florida town of less than 300 people and recently graduated from the MFA Film Production program at the University of Texas at Austin. Her documentaries Nocturne and Lavoyger were finalists for the American Society of Cinematographers' Student Heritage awards. Lavoyger premiered at Austin Film Festival, won best short documentary at Flyway Film Festival and the Special Jury Prize at IFFBoston.
